EL9280 - Uralla
Manilla Base Metals Project
The Manilla Base Project is comprised of granted exploration licenses EL9280 (3 units) and EL9283 (12 units) 100% owned by Resources City Pty Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Minerals City Pty Limited. They are granted exploration licenses with a term of three (3) years from 2 September 2024, both expiring 2 September 2024. The licenses were granted over 3 units or 9 sq. kms. or 900 ha for EL9280, and 12 units or 36 sq. kms. or 3,600 ha for EL9283.
EL9280 and EL9283 are located within the Manilla (1:250,000) Regional Geology Maps, as well as also being included in the Manilla-Narribri (1:250.000) Metallogenic Maps. There are several tectonic units in the sheet area which are potential deposit hosts but which have not yielded, or been explored for, specific deposit types. Examples include:
- Porphyry copper and base metal deposits in island arc environments, such as interpreted to have been active in the west of the sheet area during the Devonian and Carboniferous;
- Epithermal precious metal deposits associated with felsic volcanic provinces. Felsic volcanics are abundant in the east of the sheet area, and in at least one case, proximal volcanics are associated with alluvial gold; and
- Low-grade alluvial gold and cassiterite, with accompanying gemstones (diamonds) and possible industrial minerals (clays, diatomite) beneath the extensive Tertiary volcanics in the Mount Kaputar region.
The Manilla-Narrabri 1:250 000 sheet area holds considerable potential for the discovery of economic mineral deposits. Most favourable as potential exploration targets are fossil fuels, gold (metahydrothermal, alluvial), rhodonite, cassiterite (lode and alluvial), diamonds and sapphires and zeolites.
Within EL9280 there are several main mineral occurrences in the area including Digger's Ridge (150455), Mount Jones (150457), Mount Mutton (150471), Rocky River (208481), and Sydney Flat (150456).
EL9283 – Suttons Gully
Within the license area of EL9283 there are several mineral occurrences including the Boorolong Mo Mine (150337), McKinlays Claim (150344), Suttons Gully Sn (150349), and 3 others (150347, 150348, and 150346). Dominantly, Cassiterite, Arsenopyrite, and Molybdenite are the major ores and Pyrite, Galena, and Sphalerite are minor in nature.
